A Greenfield Properties award-wining renovation. Situated at the corner of 3rd Street and Lowe, the Ideal Building offers 8,684 sq ft of contemporary creative workspace. The expansive studios and clean, modern design appeal to a community that is connected to creative and artistic enterprises. The building houses several local businesses including Shaktea, a local organic komboocha brewery, and the Crossfit gym, Boom Fitness.
The building also houses a number of creative work spaces including classic car collectors, and paleontologists.
The building itself is located withing the Cultural District of Iowa, and was originally built in the 1940s as a concrete mixing plant. In 2009, Greenfield Properties purchased the building from Ideal Ready Mix, and removed and recycled over 40 tons of steel mixing equipment to re-purpose the building into creative workshop space.
The renovation quickly upgraded the neighborhood, and earned a beautification award from the City of Fairfield. Located within walking distance from the Fairfield city center, restaurants & cafes, Everybody’s Wholefoods, and the Maharishi University of Management Campus.
