
For the past three decades Doug Greenfield has consulted on and completed an impressive number of building projects including commercial office buildings, University buildings, condominiums, and single-family homes. He has also organized subdivisions and arranged for the rezoning approval of new Condominium Regimes with small clusters of homes within Fairfield’s city limits.
Doug is known for his championing the role in bringing the ancient practice of Maharishi Vastu (Maharishi Vedic Architecture) to the Western world under the direction of renowned spiritual teacher Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. For 10 years, Doug served as founding President of Maharishi Global Construction. The company was a consulting and architectural design firm, which oversaw the application of Maharishi Vastu principles in North America. Through his work with Maharishi Global Construction, Doug helped create the Vastu boom in America, consulting and assisting in the implementation of over $500,000,000 of Maharishi Vastu construction projects. He is well known for the design and construction of the first Vedic office buildings in the western world. His commercial building portfolio houses a large share of the business community in Fairfield.
Doug is also a founding partner of Danaher Oil Company, the largest refined products oil brokerage firm serving the Midwest Region of the United States. Danaher Oil under the leadership of Mayor Ed Malloy (president) has been one of the pillars of the Fairfield business community for over 30 years.
Doug’s philanthropic work includes donating revenues and constructing a number of buildings in Fairfield including the Golden Dome Market for Maharishi University of Management. In Maharishi Vedic City he has donated and managed projects for the Maharishi Vedic Pandit Campus, where nearly 1000 Pandits from India perform special Vedic ceremonies daily to create peace and harmony in the world.
Doug currently resides in both Fairfield Iowa, and sunny Vero Beach, Florida with his wife, Francie. For the last three decades he has been an inspiration to our community and world movement with his accomplishments and generosity.
For the past ten years, Amy has worked on a diverse scale of design projects, ranging from children’s book illustration to sustainable home design. Amy is proficient in eco architectural design, the visual arts, branding, and spent several years studying the art of Vastu building design first hand with the renowned spiritual teacher, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Amy is passionate about engaging the senses AND the environment in her designs, creating structures which work with nature, rather than against it. As an owner of the design/build firm Greenfield Properties, she emphasizes using natural and non-toxic building materials, high performance design, and renewable energy systems. Amy carries a BFA in Painting, and completed Passive House training at Parson’s School of Constructed Design in New York City.
Amy has designed and constructed several housing developments in Fairfield, Iowa, and has gained much recognition for her design work with the off-grid sustainable community, the Abundance EcoVillage. Amy’s in-depth study of high performance building and implementation of cutting edge sustainable building techniques has earned her recognition as one of the top green building experts in the Midwest. Her work has been featured a number of publications and TV segments including The Radish Magazine, Iowa Outdoors Magazine, greenbuildingadvisor.com, KCCI Des Moines, IA Magazine and most recently, a profile on Oprah’s Next Chapter, Fairfield Edition. Amy is also the co-founder of the renewable energy design firm, Ideal Energy Inc. where she continues advocacy for clean, renewable energy systems through custom design and installations.
For the past 14 years, Marge Millane has specialized in building management and accounting. She assists businesses with finding the optimal location to meet their business needs, and helps ensure that their monthly logistics run seamlessly. Her management and accounting expertise bring organization and efficiencies to Greenfield Office Rentals. Marge’s experience includes more than 12 years in the banking industry, and she has an extensive background in accounting and bookkeeping.
Currently she manages the Katie Ram Building, Amy Ram Building, 505 N. 4th Street Building, Gateridge Court Building and the Ideal Commercial Rentals Building. In addition, Marge does all the bookkeeping and financial organizing of all investments and building projects for the Greenfield’s.
She is a longtime resident of Fairfield with her husband Jim, and enjoys spending time with her three
children and their spouses, as well as six grandchildren who reside in Illinois and California.
